All children in the Infant Department (Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 {not Nursery}) have been offered a free midday meal. For those who have to pay the cost is £3.04 per day (£15.20 per week). This must be paid on Monday morning, in an envelope clearly marked with your child’s name and class (the correct money only).
We make every effort to teach your child about the kinds of food that will help them keep fit and healthy. Though we do not disapprove of sweets, chocolate bars and crisps, we do not allow children to bring these to school to eat at break time. Instead, we can provide all children with a piece of fruit for which there is a charge for children in the Juniors.
If your child has any special dietary needs, please let us know in good time so that we can make the necessary arrangements.
You should decide at the beginning of each term, whether you wish your child to have a school meal or packed lunch.
Please do not include sweets or hot food in a packed lunch – a drink of water will be provided, but children can bring their own drink (no cans, bottles or fizzy drinks). Whenever possible we recommend that you provide a healthy packed lunch e.g. low fat and low sugar content foods.
Please do not allow your child to bring chewing gum to school.
School meals are provided by Chatwells: please visit their site for more information.
All children in KS1 are offered a free meal however we urge those parents who do receive a qualifying benefit for free meals to make a formal application as this will allow the school to claim additional funding (pupil premium) for new equipment and resources.
It is now possible for you to apply for free school meals online.
Visit the Liverpool Council Web Site and if you meet the criteria you can apply on line and receive an email confirming your entitlement.
The link below will take you to the application page.
